Salinger

I passed by a friend’s friend’s blog and happen to see her mention about JD Salinger’s book “A Perfect Day for Bananafish”.

I’m a little apprehensive but went curious when she said “and if you do not know what book or which author I am referring to, you haven’t been reading the good books”.

Hmn… Checking my mind’s references on “Salinger”, I remember a lot of BS when I read his novel “The Catcher in the Rye”.

But then again, I also remembered reading that book in an island… Oooohh… Good memories…

Ok. Maybe i’ll look for that book and read him again.

Its been a veeery long while since my last entry.

Ofcourse a lot have happened. You know how the 4 letter word b-a-b-y is fully packed with a lot of joys and adventures – left me with zero luxury time for myself and blogging. **Adventure equals to the many laughter, diapers, milk bottles, baby cereals, srieks, disney channel, immunization shots, crazy songs, playgrounds and so many more!

Until Dwight mentioned the blog. And I visited again. And checked some friend’s links. And felt the rush of words again. And missed the scent of that surreal life of posts. And well, yes… I guess I am – BACK!!

ready? set? ….push!!!

tell me if it’s really possible to find myself all prepped-up and ready to deliver a baby anytime now… the innevitable will surely happen, there is no way back and no choices to be made. things to buy and items to do can be accomplished and all info on pregnancy may be exhausted – nine months of waiting, you know..

still, i find myself unsure of what i am really feeling – super excited to have and hold the baby, and also super scared of the labor and delivery…

i guess i’ll chunk this off as another moment to trust the God who promised to get me [and the baby] through this with enough strength and His blessings.  and well, as always, i’m sure He won’t fail *wink!*

when my heart skipped for joy

Today, i was inside the doctor’s room and i was crying – not just teary eyed but with big tear drops rolling on my temples, while my heart is extatic with joy!  This at the moment of looking at the beating heart of the most precious baby inside my tummy.  It was such a breath-taking moment!

…and the blessing continues when the doctor announced that the baby is a boy!!!

Thank you our God, for the answered prayers! :)

So where are we now?

Yes! We’re at a totally different place, different culture, different people, different way of living, different setups, different routines, different currency, different weather, different lifestyle and so much more…

Its equally exciting and scary. But mostly its fun!

I guess its because I’m with the love of my life and we’re going through this phase of our life with the Lord’s blessing.  I guess we’re adopting well and things will surely get better.

Now what’s so different in this part of the planet?  Let me tell you some:

1.  At night, everywhere is safely lighted.
2.  The transport system is good.  (Convenient trains arriving at good intervals with card payment system)
3.  Fashion-wise:  Anyone can wear any fashion they want.
4.  Its an open culture country.
5.  Every cent is useful.

I’ve met a totally ugly person inside-out!

Once there was this woman, now here’s this man.

skinny fit

same body. same walk. new jeans. new look.

i like the way it hugs my legs..  feels so good. looks real great!

enjoying the mundane

Lately, i find myself doing the typical mundane stuff – i mean household chores. It was actually funny that some profound thoughts will visit me while i do these stuff. I came to realize that these “chores”, which i dread during childhood and did in an auto-pilot mode when i finally matured is an inevitable part of life in this planet.

Yes i like putting things in order but what’s amazing is that this time, im enjoying it!

Arranging the room, sweeping the floors, dusting around, cleaning the restroom, preparing the dinner table, watering the plants and even cooking some yummy brownies! – though pretty unlikely of me, im surprising myself!
